it is FINALLY starting to feel like fall around here (for three seconds, then i'm sure it'll blizzard and i'll be whining for spring), so we took the opportunity to make homemade pancakes!

and yes, i have no backsplash. what the hell were these people thinking when they designed this kitchen? and more importantly, how have i lived here three years and NOT PUT ONE IN YET?
