sidenote: she has no shirt on because 1) she cannot stand to have a messy shirt and 2) she refuses to wear a bib and 3) i have bigger fish to fry.

olivia has started really getting into pretend play and it's ADORABLE. in this picture she's having a blueberry party. the blueberries are having a party. and dancing. the hot dog dance, of course.

ok, i missed ten entire days, but i'm not going to give up! it is no coincidence that the last post was on my first day back to work. omg. crazytown. i will add the ten missing pics to a bonus post to be named later, but for now we shall soldier on and have i got a GOOD one for today...

AHHHHH! this is their daycare photo. we could pick this photo apart all day long: lame fake flowers, awful fake background (it looks like they're sitting on cookie monster), outfits don't match, olivia's hair(!?!??!?!), but none of that matters... LOOK AT MY SMILING GIRLS!!!

ok, crappy picture (not to be confused with these AWESOME crappy pictures, but this is too cute anyway. livie is in LOVE with pooh's heffalump movie and has decided that this elephant that i brought home for her from my first trip to denmark after she was born (five months old and i had to leave her for a WEEK) is lumpy. true love always.

we took the kids to tcby for frozen yogurt to celebrate livie going peepees on the potty for the first time eva. then we walked to the fountain at the town center and livie proceeded to run around like a madwoman tiring out her big cousin. the energy that child has. epic.

mesmerized by the television. after a five day hiatus. yes, my (almost!!) four-month-old was looking at the tv.

one good thing about having no power is the generosity of friends and family. we spent a lot of time with our sisters and friends and yesterday (wednesday: day FOUR) olivia had an absolute blast visiting with tyler and collin. pops for all! (audrey was in her GLORY. swing on a breezy, cool deck. heaven for my baby girl!)

day 13

wednesday night. three full days and nights with no power or running water. and a giant hole in the yard.

day 12

this was on tuesday. still no power and no water at all. met up with olivia's bestie (also without power) at addison park to let off a little steam!

day 11

this is a giant hole in my backyard from the hurricane. it's about four feet deep and two feet wide. so far. we had someone come look at it and it appears we need to dig out a sunken 8x8 space and refill the space properly. it appears that when the lot was cleared for the house to be built, the builders probably buried boulders and tree stumps (not allowed to do that anymore) and didn't fill in around them properly so we have air pockets. add in a hurricane's worth of rain and voila! SINKHOLE. awesome.

day 10

sunday morning around 11am we lost power (in the middle of the hurricane). olivia enjoyed some lunch in with a view of the mess outside (because it was the only light we had!)
